Day 164 - Try Easy.
Day 164 - Hey! Well, I'm going to report on yesterday, today. Initially, yesterday was a frustrating day. In fact it was a week full of disappointments, dead ends and no thanks. Yesterday started out as a nice exclamation point on the week.
Let me explain. I gathered up the family, stuffed them in a car and headed out on an adventure. I had every intention of working hard to document the day with beautiful photos and create a terrific story. However, I found myself just wanting to enjoy the day. There was the amazing bakery which provided an out of this world cream cheese danish. We ran into the coolest, sweetest and largest dog we had ever encountered. The community pool where we dunked and played as a family turned into a beautiful two hours fun fest. Our lunch was delicious and filled with laughs and monkey business. We returned home for the adults to enjoy a glass of wine in a gorgeous local garden.
Now, this might sound like utopia, and it was an amazing day. I am forever thankful to the universe for this Saturday filled with so much joy. However, the way I was approaching the day and the way the week had progressed, was like a woodpecker trying to peck a hole in a metal flagpole. I was trying incredibly hard at trying to change something that wasn't in my control. I needed to resign myself and realize sometimes the best way change is to just let the universe do it's job and "try easy."
Today, create and change by letting the day create for you. Today, kick back, make no clear intention or defined plan. Tuck the smart phone away, turn off the television, don't do any work and just "try easy."
