The Perfect Chai Latte

Prep Time: 15-20 min

Makes: 2- 8oz cups

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tea strainer packed with black tea

  • 2 tbsp real maple syrup

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ground cloves

  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/3 tsp ground ginger

  • coconut whipped cream topping (optional)

Step 1: In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the almond milk. When it starts to simmer, immediately remove from heat.

Step 2:  Hook the tea strainer to the side of the saucepan and let steep in the warm almond milk for 10 minutes. Remove and discard tea. Stir in the maple syrup until combined. Mix in the remaining spices. If the mixture has cooled warm to a palatable temperature.

Step 3: Serve warm with a dollop of coconut whipped cream. Yum!
