This time of year, we look for creative ways to tell loved ones they mean SO much to us. Maybe we scour the internet for the perfect gift or try to find something expensive to show how much we care.

However, the simplest way to communicate our appreciation is almost always through a thoughtful and well-written greeting card. Whether it’s the proverbial family photo or a delightful wintery card like this one, Snowy Evening, these darling tokens of our appreciation make the recipient feel genuinely important and remembered.

It’s been a while since something novel popped in your inbox.

Did you miss the creative inspiration and sometimes wild ideas?

Yes, of course you did!

And so did I.

The good news is I wasn’t taking a long, luxurious vacation or contemplating a depressing break-up from all our creative work.

For the past few months, there has been a not-so-secret project in the works. It’s something especially developed just for all of you readers and creators. A ton of hard work and time has been stuffed into creating and developing something…for all of YOU!

However, before the big reveal happens, I just want to say “Hello,” because greeting someone can make everyone’s day.

So, try looking someone in the eyes today and say “Hi, Hello, Hey!” in any language and watch the day become wonderful.

We travel around the sun once a year and the trip ends with only one day celebrate. However, the stars in the sky say something different.

The stars say we can celebrate forever and through the Zodiac, we never need to stop celebrating what makes each of us unique. 

My birthday month is over, but these two Taurus prints from Society 6  are going up on my office wall. They will remind me that we come from the stars and we should shoot for the stars.

Good day everyone. Yes! It's Saturday and it's a great time to make some art. Yes! Everyone can make art. Everyone! I'm going to hop right into todays project with a fast, fun and physical way to create easy art on this summer Saturday.

You will need a straw or two as this project is fun to do with a friend. Thick paper like watercolor, printmaking paper or card stock paper. Liquid watercolors {affiliate link} or food coloring will also be needed. That's it! Well, and maybe a place to let the paint fly and an apron might also help the process.

The history of making art by blowing pigment around dates back a long time. In fact, the earliest forms of art have been found in Spain, France and Indonesia and date back 32,000 - 40,000 years.
